Vibe Calibration: Autonomous Bring-up of a 112-Qubit Superconducting Quantum Processor by a Skill-Orchestrating Language Agent

Skills organize tools, decision criteria and execution records for language agents in quantum experiments.

Vibe Calibration

An experiment is more than a prompt

Quantum calibration involves repeated measurements, interpretation and parameter changes. Vibe Calibration organizes expertise about next steps, retries and acceptance criteria into agent-executable workflows.

How Skills connect knowledge and tools

Expert-guided work is distilled into Skills containing tool commands, decision branches and acceptance criteria. Execution traces support review and experiments with model fine-tuning.

Results on physical hardware

The preprint reports calibrating 108 qubits on a 112-qubit superconducting processor in about 4.7 hours. This result concerns a particular device and workflow.

Toward Quantum Gym

Our planned Quantum Gym (QCL-GYM) direction is a virtual quantum environment for inspecting tool calls, state changes and feedback. It is a team development direction, not a repository or result released by this paper. A public link will follow when available.
